I have been
developing my own software since 2003.
I named it "L'Oeuvre Sans Fin" (work with no end) since it creates and
modifies images over and over as long as the computer is running.
Actualy, the moment I choose to stop it determines the end result.
It derives from my painting and uses my original drawings,
but colors and composition rely mainly on chance.
This random part is essential. The work results from the action of chance within a determined (mathematical) structure.
The part of chance is such that pictures come as new and unexpected each time.
The pictures that I select are then printed on paper, canvas, Plexiglas or aluminium.
This work can also be presented in a dynamic display :
Then it shows the work in progress, as if trying to improve the image again and again. The rythm in time becomes a significant part of the work.
There are also interactive installations when I throw in new parameters, captured in real time.
